CJ`s American Pub & Grill in Shippensburg

My first visit here was exceptional, and every visit since has been amazing The menu is good, very decent selection with a good amount of variety.We had the stuffed crab mushrooms, a burger and a pork sandwich. Everything was excellent. My burger was juicy and ridiculously tasty. I normally am not a huge bbq sauce fan, but their bbq sauce was fantastic. The sauce on the mushrooms went phenomenally well with the cheese. Everything, down to the burger buns were so rich with flavor. Yes this place is a bit pricey for the area, but I'm from NYC so this is still a steal price wise. Also, our waiter was absolutely excellent. He checked in with us a good bit, without being overbearing and annoying. He was really sweet, made some good recommendations and was very timely. Will definitely be coming back and looking forward to it

Ever since I moved here two years ago, this has been my favorite restaurant. Everything I have ever gotten here is amazing. Always love the food, the service and the ambiance. I constantly bring friends and family who have visited me here, and they all agree with me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND their Cameron Burger. That's my absolute favorite thing on their menu

The ribs were more fall-off-the bone than any I've ever had. Smokey, meat candy. Dessert was decadent. The service was fabulous. Andrea was a delight. Many thanks to CJ's for a wonderful experience!

The food and service were both amazing! The smoked brisket was so tender and flavorful. The Key Lime Parfait was a light and tasty finish to the meal. My wife also thoroughly enjoyed her tortellini primavera. We will choose CJ's again.

This place has a great, multi-facet setting. Virtually able to do family night to date night. Full bar and great menu choices. A little higher in price but definitely worth every penny. This place has been crushing it consistently for a long time and its reputation speaks for itself.

Great food, good prices for the quality. Definitely try their CJs house beer! I also enjoy getting their flights. They look amazing and taste even better!

Great food, great service from Andrea and the crew. The Cameron burger was delicious. The brisket was smoky and cooked perfectly. Sweet tea and chocolate stout was great too. We'll be back.

This place supersede my expectations. I allow Ms. Kim our waiter to pick my meal and dessert and everything was delicious!! Next time I'm in town for business again I will be back!

VERY GOOD FOOD! Our host was polite and accommodating. Warm atomosphere! I had the Cameron Burger, which was great! Other guests from our small group of motorcyclists, seemed very pleased with their meals, and dining experience. We took a small, scenic roadtrip through the mountains to arrive at our destination. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE TRIP!

I have eaten here numerous time. Service is always prompt and friendly. Food has always been good. It is on the pricey side for Shippensburg , but you get quality meal.

I've eaten at CJs a few times and, while it's okay, I've yet to be bowled over. I tried the taco salad today, and it was boring and bland. The salsa and sour cream that should have come with it never came even after requesting it from our server (in her defense, we were in a pretty large group!). The taco meat wasn't seasoned, either, which could have saved the experience. The meal itself wasn't bad...it was just...disappointing.

The brisket is delicious! Definitely I want be back but I don't know if I can try other menu option or still with the brisket! Omg! My husband loves the burgers and really looked good!

Asked at my hotel for a good "local" place to eat, this was one of the suggestions. I was seated at a table in the bar area, and ordered a glass of wine, not realizing there was a small or large size of wine to choose from. I was driving, and would definitely have chosen the smaller size, IF I was asked. Waitress did not. I ordered the " burger" with crab, but chose to substitute a grilled chicken breast for the burger( nice option, no additional charge). The house made chips were suggested as a side. Grilled chicken was cooked very well, not dry, as sometimes happens. The crab was not as fresh as I would've liked, a disappointment. Fresh lettuce and tomato also topped the sandwich. The house made chips, doubtful, I left them on the plate. I wanted to like this place, but as a woman traveling( and eating) alone, I felt my server was not as attentive as she could've been, I would have addressed my dislikes if she had checked on me.

Great food and nice atmosphere. Stopped in for lunch and left satisfied and full. Would like to come back and try one of their entrees.

I don’t think these guys NEEDED another 5 star review but my 1st time here and it’s easily the best place to eat in town. Had Brisket Tacos for lunch and they were the best. Service, atmosphere is also great and price is really good for what it is.

The food was delicious, some of the best this side of Pa. Our server was awesome.

Food was amazing, but even better was the service! Attentive with a sense of humor. Made us feel at home. Had a problem with one of the meals, but staff corrected it right away and were very apologetic. I tipped accordingly! I'll definietly be visiting here again.

Awesome food. Definitely a place that takes pride in their food. Portions have gotten smaller but it’s good so I’ll still go.

We were in town for the weekend and placed an order for carry out. My wife enjoyed the Brisket platter. My adult daughter had the grilled fish tacos. She thought that the fruit chutney overpowered the taste of the fish a little, but overall she thought it was very good. The pulled pork wrap had a nice balance to it. The pulled pork was tender and plentiful but the sauce really makes this dish stand out. Lastly we also ordered the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was juicy and well coated in the spice blend.If we have the need to pass through Shippensburg again, we'll definitely be back to CJ's.

This restaurant is more on the pricey side, however, the food we had was with it. Included on the menu are several "original" salads, dressings, and platters; including several offered from the restraunt's smoke house. Though the selection from the smoker is not huge it does include filet mignon, ribeye, and sirloin, as well as prime rib on Friday and Saturdays. Our waitress was attentive and kind, though she had the entire dining room by herself, she managed it well. What brought this review to a lot number for me was the constant flow of black flies swarming around our heads and more disgustingly, our food, as we tried to eat. It was non-stop. Not pleasant when your trying to enjoy a meal.

Very good restaurant in the town. Fsst, good selection and service.My favorite is their crab cake sandwich with their house made chips. They have everyday special.Recommend for groups.

We eat here regularly. You can’t go wrong at CJ’s in Shippensburg! The staff are amazing, the food is ALWAYS on point and absolutely delicious. Whether you are hungry for steak, a burger, sandwich, or seafood (yuck- I don’t like seafood BUT those I go with LOVE their seafood here!) you just can’t go wrong.Please note: the French onion soup is beyond compare! You HAVE to give it a try! We have lived all over the world, and found the French Onion soup at CJ’s to be about the best we’ve ever had. SERIOUSLY

Large menu, many great selections. Too bad they ran out of their summer drink special.

Our food was delicious. The bartender (where we sat) was wonderful. I had checked their website and it didn't mention taking reservations, so we ended up having to sit at the bar when we wanted a table. I think it'd be helpful to add that to their website for out-of-towners like us who didn't know we'd need one. The line for the bathroom was also very long because it's a single bathroom.

Ok. So by far the absolute best steak I have had in two years. The only one that came close was not in the USA. I wasn't even that hungry. I had the prime rib. Sides were also good. Service was good. Desert was good. Over the top .
